Early Life And Career
Bang Chan was born in Seoul, South Korea on October 3, 1997 (at the age of 24; as of 2021). Christopher Bang is the real name of Bang Chan. He was a student at Newtown High School of the Arts. Regarding their parents, not much is known. His siblings are Lucas Bang, a younger brother, and Hannah Bang, a younger sister.
The trio “3RACHA” was founded in late 2016 in Seoul, South Korea, and in January 2017, Chan (CB97) and other trainees Han Jisung (J.ONE) and Seo Changbin (SPEAR B) published their debut untitled Mixtape on SoundCloud under the moniker “J:/2017/mixtape.” There were seven tunes on the mixtape. They garnered rapid acclaim from fans for their skill in producing and writing music on a professional level.
The Stray Kids’ “Mixtape” debut EP, which 3Racha claimed credit for writing and producing, featured songs composed while the Stray Kids reality survival program was under development. The track “District 9” is from 3Racha’s “I Am NOT” EP, which was released on March 25.
The album was written and produced in collaboration by all three members of 3Racha. In 2018, “Stray Kids” published two additional albums, “I Am Who” and “I Am You,” which Chan is credited with writing and producing most of the tracks along with 3Racha.
